HARLINGEN — Soon after neighbors heard gunfire in the 300 block of North Eye Street yesterday, they called police to investigate.
Harlingen police then called in the SWAT team.
But before the SWAT team was out the door and ready to ride to the location in the HPD SWAT vehicle, a message came in to hang tight.
Harlingen police officers on patrol took the suspect into custody without incident.
Detectives and crime investigators processed the scene yesterday afternoon.
No further information was available from the police.
