HARLINGEN — A new year can also bring a new job.
Southern Careers Institute-Harlingen Campus is hosting its first Job Fair 2018 on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Harlingen campus is one of seven in Texas which offer training in the fields of business, cosmetology, trade, medical and technology.
The school also has an online classes component.
“There is no fee, it is open to the public and anyone can attend,” Rene Lopez, director of career services at SCI-Harlingen, said via email. “We have business accounting specialist, administrative assistants, medical assistants, medical office specialist, medical billing and coding specialist, welders and HVAC students and graduates that will also attend.”
Employers who have confirmed they will have representatives at the job fair are Spectrum, Bee First Home Health, Express Employment, Su Clinica, CSL Plasma, Uniforms and Accessories, Manpower, ACT, AVM Educational Consultant, Perma-Temp, Central Air and Heat Service, Vector Marketing, Harlingen Water Works, Texas Visiting Nurse Service LTD, the U.S. Navy, San Benito Medical Associates and Neighbors Telehealth.
