A San Benito CISD school bus was involved in a hit and run accident this morning in Hidalgo County.
The accident happened at 8:15 a.m.
The bus was carrying 15 members of the San Benito High School girls varsity wrestling team and their coach when it was struck from behind on U.S. Interstate 2/Expressway 83, right before State Highway 281 interchange, said SBCISD Transportation Director Erica Flores.
No one on the bus was injured and the bus received minimal damage. Flores said the other driver fled the scene of the accident.
