HARLINGEN — City officials have issued an alert that the warming shelter will be open tonight due to cold temperatures.
“For those individuals and families that may need to seek shelter from these frigid conditions, Loaves and Fishes will make available 66 beds tonight and have an additional 60 cots if needed,” Assistant City Manager Gabriel Gonzalez said in a statement this afternoon. “They are located at 514 S E. Street in Harlingen. They can be reached at 956-423-1014.”
Gonzalez said city officials will continue to monitor weather conditions this week in case temperatures again dip to the freezing mark.
