Harrison Avenue crash leaves 1 dead

One man is dead and three others injured after a Jeep Wrangler flipped on Harrison Avenue Thursday night.

Harlingen Police say the 56-year old driver was traveling west on Harrison around 7:15 p.m. when he struck a Nissan sedan near “O“ Street. The Jeep traveled across the three lanes of Harrison, struck a parked car on “P“ Street and then flipped on its side.

All four of the Jeep’s occupants, including a female passenger and two children, ages 8 and 14, were taken to the hospital where they driver later died. The others are all in stable condition.
