HARLINGEN — American Idol favorite Piper Jones will be showcasing the voice that captivated thousands in the new show, “Sirens of Song.”
The powerhouse vocalist from Nashville, Tennessee, will be performing at the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m.
This is the first of six outstanding shows in the Harlingen Concert Association 2017-18 Season. Season tickets are available online at www.HarlingenConcert.com and at Municipal Auditorium, 1204 Fair Park Blvd.
The silky smooth voice of Piper Jones wowed the masses during her run as a contestant on the 14th season of American Idol, impressing judge Jennifer Lopez enough to call Jones “a star.” Piper Jones is a Contemporary Christian artist that delivers a worthy message and inspires every audience for which she performs. Her touring show, “Sirens of Song,” features a combination of gospel and mainstream repertoire, including hits by leading ladies of the music industry — Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and many more. Jones, who has been dubbed a “natural talent” by Harry Connick, Jr., will be joined by piano and acoustic bass for an entertaining evening of contemporary gospel music, great jazz and blues.
The Harlingen Concert Association has been bringing internationally-acclaimed, touring artists to the Rio Grande Valley since the 1930s. This all-volunteer, nonprofit organization is committed to enriching the cultural life of the Harlingen area through live performances.
