September 2, 2015, the day Daniel Arizpe and Joey Martinez brewed their first beer in a garage in La Galaxia neighborhood, is a day they will never forget.

What ignited what is now known as Pluton Brewing Company is the passion that Arizpe and Martinez have for drinking craft beer.

After they brewed their first beer, Arizpe and Martinez started brewing in a rented space on Calle Pluton.

The co-owners started brewing beers from simple kits that can be bought online. From there they started buying equipment that is needed to brew beer and slowly started building a team that would help them carry out their goal.

“From the get go we kind of knew that we were brewing to eventually have a brewery,” Martinez said.

The Pluton Brewery team dedicated its spare time into making this brewery a reality. Team members started reading recipes online to get ideas and later came up with their own menu. They treat this as a second job.

“Little by little we taught ourselves how to make better beers,” Arizpe said.

One of the most popular brews they have made is a cream ale beer that can be brewed with strawberries or even prickly pears. Arizpe and Martinez said they only get their ingredients locally.
