The Valley Morning Star took top ranking for general newspaper excellence in division two of the statewide Texas Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest.
“We don’t do our work for awards. We do it to keep our community informed, educated and entertained,” said Valley Morning Star Editor Lisa Seiser. “However being honored with the top general excellence award in our division confirms our efforts aren’t going unnoticed.”
Seiser and Reporter Rick Kelly shared the award for third place in feature writing.
