Texas woman busted at Progreso bridge with $1M in liquid meth

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says it arrested a Texas woman who tried to smuggle liquid methamphetamine inside milk and juice containers at the Progreso International Bridge over the weekend.

According to an agency news release, on Saturday afternoon the 22-year-old Fort Worth woman was walking across the bridge into the U.S. when she was ordered to undergo a second inspection.

CBP says the woman was carrying 69 pounds of the liquid meth inside 27 bottles of juice and milk containers. The drug has a street value of just over $1 million.

She was taken into the federal custody of Homeland Security Investigation agents. The drugs were seized by CBP.
