HARLINGEN — Police have identified a man they say broke into a local pharmacy. An arrest warrant has been issued for Edward Eliseo Rodriguez, 23.
At approximately 2 a.m., April 20, officers responded to the Small Fry’s Pharmacy on 21st Street regarding an activated alarm.
When they arrived officers discovered a window near the front entrance had been shattered. They say video surveillance footage shows Rodriguez shoot out the window with a BB gun, enter the business and rummaged through the counter area.
He then left the area on foot, southbound toward E. Tyler Avenue.
Rodriguez is described as a heavy set man with tattoos on his arms, left leg and a birth mark, tattoo or large mole on the left side of his face.
He has dark hair, a beard and was wearing a red shirt with a Virgin Mary image on it, shorts and sandals.
Police said Rodriguez was carrying a BB gun and a backpack.
