McALLEN — H-E-B on Saturday will give away 180,000 Earth Day reusable bags, according to a Wednesday news release. Saturday is Earth Day.
The Eco-friendly bag was designed by a Texas artist from at least 75 percent recycled plastic bottles and containers, the release states.
The bag, designed by Becca Borrelli, is reminiscent of a coloring book and features the iconic Texas armadillo and bluebonnet, and a call to make everyday Earth Day.
The give away begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at checkout stands while supplies last, according to the release.
