Going the distance: Warriors representing Valley teams in state tourney

SANTA ROSA — The Warriors were given a standing ovation from the student body as they passed the front of the high school with a police escort on their way to the state basketball tournament.

They will take on James Madison-Dallas in the 3A boys basketball semifinals at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The semifinal match-up pits a number one ranked James Madison against number two ranked Santa Rosa.

“We know they are a good team (James Madison) and everyone in the final four is there for a reason,” said Monico Prado. “If we play our game we’ll come out on top.”
