Special operation fails to locate missing Nahomi Rodriguez

Harlingen Police say an extensive operation to find a missing San Benito woman turned up empty handed.

In a news release, the department says the major crimes unit, Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, DPS, FBI and a number of Cameron County agencies all took part following up on a specific lead to find Nahomi Rodriguez.

The department says after careful planning and coordination the operation, which was held Tuesday, failed to locate the 19-year-old woman.

Rodriguez disappeared July 17 when she walked out of the McDonald’s at Business 77 and Morgan Boulevard where she worked and got into a dark colored SUV with an unidentified man.

A McDonalds surveillance camera captured her inside the restaurant drive-thru window filling a cup with soda. Rodriguez was last seen wearing her McDonald’s uniform of a black shirt, black pants and a black cap.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Harlingen Crime Stoppers at (956) 425-TIPS (8477) or Harlingen Major Crimes Detective Scott Vega at (956) 244-3165.
