Greyhound fans limited to 10 playoff tickets

SAN BENITO — San Benito Greyhound fans planning to attend Friday night’s Bi-District Playoff game against the Edinburg Bobcats will be allowed buy only 10 tickets for the game taking place at Bobby Morrow Stadium.

The district is hoping to avoid the ticket fiasco of last week’s Battle of the Arroyo matchup with the Harlingen Cardinals when just a handful of fans purchased hundreds of tickets, leaving many fans unable to attend the game or buying the tickets at a higher price on social media. At the time the district had no limit on how many tickets any one person could buy.

School officials said afterwards they would review the ticket purchasing policy.

Tickets are on sale today through Friday and will cost $8 for reserved seats and $3 for student tickets. The tickets can only be paid with cash.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY, NOV. 10 & 11

If the Greyhounds win on Friday the district says ticket limits may change depending on the location of the game and size of stadium.
