SAN BENITO — Now everyone can see goals the San Benito school district has set for itself.
It’s a goal to succeed and the message is now being made clear by the large billboards located off the expressway and Williams Road.
The Re-Imagine 2021 Five-Year Strategic Plan is designed to positively impact the future of San Benito CISD and will serve to guide the district toward a future of excellence.
With the newly-adopted mission that calls for being the “Gold Standard” in all that they do, the district secured two billboards to promote the lengthy campaign.
It was always the district’s aim to demonstrate to the public its goals for excellence.
Now the community will be reminded every time they drive near the expressway or on Williams Road.
In July, school board members approved Superintendent Dr. Adrian Vega’s Re-Imagine 2021 Five-Year Strategic Plan.
The collaborative journey began April 2, when about 145 people — including school leaders, community members, business representatives, students and staff — gathered to begin working on the school district’s campaign.
It’s the district’s road map to the future, Vega said.
Now that the plan has been approved, school leaders will take the next steps in implementing the plan over the next five years, starting this new school year.
“It’s a great moment in history,” Vega said. “The last time we had a plan like this was from 1998 to 2003.”
