Want to be a leader of the future?

HARLINGEN — The Harlingen Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Youth Leadership Harlingen Class XXII.

Youth Leadership Harlingen is a program for students who want to further develop leadership skills and become more knowledgeable about the various elements that form a strong and dynamic community.

“It is important for the younger generations to get a glimpse of how our great city operates and how different industries in our area affect the overall growth in our region,” said Harlingen Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Chris Gonzales.

The program is intended to increase participants’ awareness of current issues, community problems and opportunities by interacting with community leaders and decision makers. Participants become more familiar with the Harlingen community’s needs and resources through a series of discussions and activities.
