PRIMERA — “Get out!”
That is all it took for one homeowner to scare a pair of intruders carrying a loaded gun out of his house.
On Tuesday, Primera police arrested an 18-year-old, a 20-year-old and a minor after the victim identified the suspects who had entered his home.
He yelled at them to get out of his house and the intruders ran out the front door.
The homeowner ran out through the garage to cut them off and at that time was able get a description of the intruders running out of his house to get to the getaway vehicle.
“Immediately he contacted 911 and radio dispatch relayed the message and we were able to detain the vehicle along Stuart Place Road,” Primera Police Chief Manuel Trevino said. “Once they were detained we escorted two of the suspects the victim had described and he was able to identify them and the getaway vehicle.”
The suspects were charged with participating in organized crime.
“I am very proud of my officers and thankful for the sheriff officers,” Trevino said.
The two adults were identified as Francisco Trevino and Jesus Alejandro Macias. They are accused of robbing a home on the 600 block of Barger Street along with the minor, who was not identified.
Trevino said the homeowner walked into his home with his child about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 2 and heard men whispering.
Trevino said the intruders panicked and dropped a gun while running for the getaway car.
