Santa Rosa boil water advisory lifted

Residents in Santa Rosa no longer have to boil their water before using it to cook or drink

City officials say repairs have been made to the water plant that failed over the weekend and left residents without safe drinking water and no running water.

The boil water notice was lifted after water samples were sent to the Texas Department of State Health Service laboratory for analysis and no bacteria was found in the water.

The city says it continues to make repairs to the second water plant so there will be a back-up treatment facility.
