Harlingen woman accused of stealing nearly $60,000

HARLINGEN – Police have arrested a Harlingen woman they say took more than $50,000 from a local business.

Lillian Zamora, 52, is being charged with a third degree felony for theft and surrendered to police earlier today.

Last month police received a report of a theft at the Harlingen Physicians Network located at 2121 Pease St.

Investigators say Zamora is accused of extorting up to $59,500 from the business between January 2015 thru January 2016.

Her bond was set at $25,000.
