The number one priority of the US president and congress “should be” to protect U.S. citizens and interests, both at home and abroad.
Seems to me Congressman Filemon Vela, along with liberal politicians, including local Sheriffs, are more interested in protecting the rights of illegals and their unfettered access into the U.S., than they are of protecting U.S. lives and property.
According to DHS stats, more than 96,000 illegals were arrested and charged with over 247,000 crimes in Texas alone from 6-1-2011 to 12-31-2014.
Among the crimes committed were 561 homicides, 2,836 sexual assaults 27,988 assaults, etc.

What do Mr. Vela, Democratic, as well as liberal Republican (RINO) politicians say to the victims and/or the families of those that have fallen prey to individuals that have no legal right to be in the U.S. ?
In addition, according to CDC stats, over 11,000 individuals died of a heroin overdose in 2014.
How many U.S. citizens are heroin, cocaine, meth, or crack addicts ?
Where do most of these illegal drugs come from? To say nothing of the tons of marijuana.
Yes Virginia (Mr. Vela), some illegals are indeed rapists, and they do indeed bring plenty of drugs and a lot of crime.
