Concepcion S. “Connie” Hernandez, a New York Life agent based in Edinburg, is marking her 15th anniversary with the firm.
In 2003, Hernandez took a leap of faith and started her career with New York Life as an insurance agent, never imagining the gratification and satisfaction it would bring her.
She has received numerous awards including the Life Foundation and Life Super Star award. In 2009, she was named Women in Business Champion by the University of Texas-Pan American Small Business Development center and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
This is Hernandez’s eighth consecutive year achieving the Million Dollar Round Table membership. MDRT is an international, independent association of the world’s best life insurance and financial services professionals. In addition, this is the 61st consecutive year that New York Life has the dominated in MDRT in the United States.
Hernandez is supported by her husband, Michael Arthur Hernandez, a now-retired captain of the McAllen Fire Department. They have two children and one grandson.
