Mission High senior linebacker Luis Balderas signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Austin College, an NCAA Division III school, last week at Mission High School.
Balderas, a first team District 31-6A selection and The Monitor’s All-Area second team honoree, racked up 97 total tackles, 34 solo stops, 4.5 sacks and one interception in 10 games as a senior.
“Thank you to everyone who has had a positive influence on my life, as well as the Austin coaching staff for believing in me. I can’t wait to see what the next four years hold,” Balderas said.
