Please be aware that our local congressmen Vicente Gonzalez, Filemon Vela and Henry Cuellar voted for the Equality Act last month. Under this new law, healthcare providers will be forced to perform abortions and sex re-assignment procedures.
According to the law, religious beliefs cannot be used as a defense for refusing to do abortions and re-assignment procedures. Please remember this in 2022 when they are all up for reelection. I know of no public meeting where they sought feedback from the people in the Valley.
