RGV Pride to celebrate 11th anniversary with Fiesta de Colores in Mission

RGV Pride is set to celebrate its 11th anniversary this Saturday in Mission.

Fiesta de Colores will be held from 3 p.m. to midnight at the Mission Event Center, located at 2425 Ruby Red Blvd.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10, while children under the age of 12 have free admission to the all ages welcomed event.

Fiesta de Colores will feature various festivities including live music and entertainment, performances, dancing, vendors, a RGV LGBTQ+ History museum, a panel on LGBTQIA+ queer history and a meet and greet session with “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 16 cast member and Brownsville drag performer Geneva Karr.

The meet-and-greet session with Geneva Karr will be first come, first serve from 7 to 8 p.m. There will also be other local drag performers such as Luna Karr, Lolli Poppers, Annita Flame and Saruh Tea to name a few. There will be other entertainers as well such as DJ Q, Mariachi Azucenas and Ali Orozco.

Mariachi Azucenas will be performing throughout the event center from 4 to 5 p.m.

Additionally, RGV Pride is also celebrating Dia de Los Muertos and invites the community to bring 4×6 photos of their lost loved ones to honor their memory within the celebration and for an altar that will be on display at the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg from Oct. 26 through Nov. 3.
