McAllen commuters may experience slower drive times Friday due to infrastructure construction near the intersection of Main Street and Redbud Avenue.
The city announced that Main Street will be closed to traffic between Quamasia Avenue and Shasta Avenue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The road closure is a result of the 2018 Bond Group C3 Drainage Improvement project, according to a news release.
“Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along the area,” the release read. “Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.”
