A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a truck in Donna early Wednesday morning, according to police.
Ricardo Torres, 41, of Donna was pronounced dead at the scene after he “collided with a truck” in the 1000 block of Business 83, west of Val Verde Road in Donna.
Donna police said in a news release that officers responded to the scene at around 6:37 a.m. and learned that there were two people in the truck. The passenger was sent to a local hospital “for minor injuries” while the driver appeared uninjured.
The department’s criminal investigative division is probing the crash due to “a suspicion that alcohol may have been involved,” according to police.
