U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Saturday found a little more than 130 pounds of cocaine in a commercial bus that arrived at the Hidalgo International Bridge.

In a news release, CBP said an x-ray of the bus resulted in the discovery of 50 packages of cocaine, which is worth $1,767,926.

“Our frontline CBP officers remain dedicated to our border security mission and seizures like this one underscore that commitment to the mission,” Carlos Rodriguez, port director for the Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port of Entry, said in the release. “Our officers continue to utilize an effective combination of experience, technology and canines to zero-in on hard narcotics loads that try to blend in with regular traffic.”

CBP seized the cocaine and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating the smuggling attempt.

It’s not immediately clear whether anyone has been arrested.

A search of federal criminal complaints didn’t immediately reveal a public complaint regarding the seizure.
