The La Joya school board will discuss and may take action at a special meeting Monday on a Texas Education Agency investigation report.
That investigation preceded the agency recommending last week that the district’s board be replaced by a board of managers, which would replace current trustees, exercising their powers.
The takeover effort and the investigation follow the arrests of two then-trustees and members of the district’s administration in a federal corruption probe last year.
In December, the district’s board voted to invite TEA intervention at the district.
