McAllen to close roads for waterline installation project

A waterline installation project along Hackberry Avenue will result in closures along the road, the McAllen Public Utility Department said in a news release.

Starting Monday through Sunday, May 14, the McAllen Public Utility Engineering Department will close Hackberry Avenue and the following roads:

>> 17th Street to Bicentennial Boulevard;

>> and Bicentennial Boulevard to north 20th Street.

“Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area and follow all posted detours,” the release stated. “Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.”
