The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened in Sullivan City at approximately 10 p.m.
In a news release, DPS said the crash happened on El Pinto Road south of La Pinta Street.
The preliminary investigation indicates a blue and red Polaris RZR was traveling northbound on El Pinto Road while a red Honda CRF motorcycle was traveling northbound behind it.
The motorcyclist, 22-year-old Sullivan City resident Rodrigo Hernandez, failed to control his speed and rear-ended the Polaris.
He was injected and hit the rear of the Polaris with his face and died at the scene.
DPS continues to investigate the crash.
