The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office and United States Postal Agents made a drug bust Monday in Brownsville, where they also found a large amount of cash, guns and ammunition.

According to a news release, authorities arrested 24-year-old Ivan Salinas at a residence in the 600 block of Fresnillo Drive.

The sheriff’s office claims Salinas freely admitted to being in possession of hydroponic marijuana and that he allowed investigators to search the residence.

The news release said investigators found 15 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, 253 grams of Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and 300 grams of Psilocybin insured in chocolate, which were packaged for distribution.

Authorities also seized a white Ford F-150.

Investigators charged Salinas with two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and a count of possession of marijuana.
