Donna police are investigating a homicide after the body of a woman was discovered Saturday morning in a parking lot near a local business.
Police were called at around 9 a.m. Saturday and dispatched to the 1000 block of West Business 83 in response to reports of an employee of the nearby business finding the body of a woman, according to a news release.
The woman was later identified as 43-year-old Monica Deleon, a resident of Pharr.
The condition of her body or the circumstances of her death have not yet been confirmed.
