Detective Adrian Hooks of the Donna Police Department confirmed Wednesday morning that the man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a woman at a gas pump Sunday night has been arrested.
Hooks said Roy Anthony Yanez, 38, was picked up at his residence in Donna without incident Wednesday morning.
According to a news release issued Tuesday, the incident occurred at a Circle K convenience store located in the 900 block of West Frontage Road.
The surveillance footage published on the Donna Crime Stoppers Facebook page shows a woman walking back to her vehicle to pump gas with Yanez walking a few feet behind her before assaulting her.
She manages to fight Yanez back and he eventually walks back to his black SUV vehicle and drives off.
Donna police identified Yanez as the suspect Tuesday and issued an arrest warrant for him.
Yanez is being transported to the city jail and his arraignment is pending.
