Donna ISD’s board of trustees approved salary increases and employee stipends for the 2022-2023 school year earlier this month.

Administrative professionals will receive a 3% increase, while increases for clerical paraprofessionals will be 5%, instructional support staff will receive 5% and auxiliary staff will receive 7%.
The total cost of the compensation increases is a little over $4.8 million, a 4.4% budget increase.
The board also approved retention stipends that will be paid out of federal ESSER funds.
Teachers will receive $3,000 in stipends, while administrative professionals, clerical paraprofessionals, instructional support staff and auxiliary staff will receive $2,000 in stipends.
Stipends will be paid out in two installments, one in December 2022 and one in May 2023.
