Adan Moreno
A 12-year veteran of the Edinburg Police Department has been placed on unpaid leave following his arrest for suspected drunk driving, the city said in a news release Sunday.
Edinburg police arrested one of their own, officer Adan Ariel Moreno, at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday for a class B misdemeanor charge of DWI.
Edinburg Municipal Court Judge Audra Palacios Cruz arraigned Moreno on Saturday and gave the officer a $5,000 personal recognizance bond, according to jail records.
Moreno was then transported to the Hidalgo County jail and was subsequently placed on administrative leave without pay.
