Cameron County to hold vaccination clinics in Los Fresnos, Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE — Cameron County health officials will hold vaccination clinics Los Fresnos and Brownsville.

In Los Fresnos, the clinic will open at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Los Fresnos Fire Department at 100 Rodeo Drive.

In Brownsville, the clinic will open at 6 a.m. Friday at the Brownsville Sports Park at 1100 Sports Park Blvd.

Each clinic, which will distribute the vaccine on a first-come, first-served basis, will administer 2,300 doses of the Moderna vaccine.

The clinics will target people 65 and older and those with underlying medical conditions including cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, health conditions, obesity, pregnancy, sickle cell disease along with recipients of solid organ transplants.
