Texas Department of State Health Services on Friday morning announced a positive COVID-19 test result for a patient in Willacy County. This brings the county’s total cases to eight.
According to a news release from Texas DSHS, the case involves a woman in her 20s and is not travel related.
The patient is in isolation as DSHS helps Willacy County work to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the woman.
