The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man found Friday evening with what the sheriff described as “apparent wounds to his back.”
Sheriff J.E. “Eddie” Guerra said on Twitter that deputies responded to an “equivocal death” in rural Donna, in the 1400 block of Business 83, at around 9:06 p.m.
“Deputies observed the body of a lifeless male with apparent wounds to his back,” Guerra said in a tweet.
The man’s identity and circumstances of his death remain unclear. Guerra, however, went on to say that major crimes investigators and crime scene specialists are investigating.
