WATCH: One-on-one interviews with U.S., state and county candidates

Voters struggling to decide who they want to see in county, state and federal offices can hear the platforms of some of the candidates who sat for an interview with The Monitor as part of a partnership with Futuro RGV, League of Women Voters and the McAllen Citizens’ League.

While all candidates throughout the Rio Grande Valley were invited, not all of them participated in the forums. Most of the candidates that refused to participate are Republicans.

>> Rep. Oscar Longoria, Democrat, TX House Dist. 35 (incumbent)

>> Rep. Armando Martinez, Democrat, TX House Dist. 39 (incumbent)

>> Rep. Bobby Guerra, Democrat, TX House Dist. 41 (incumbent)

>> Victor Perez, Democrat, TX State Board of Education Dist. 2

>> L.J. Francis, Republican, TX State Board of Education Dist. 2

>> Luis Villarreal, Democrat, TX House Dist. 37

>> Hon. Letty Hinojosa, Democrat, Texas 13th Court of Appeals (incumbent)

>> Richard F. Cortez, Hidalgo County Judge, (incumbent)

>> Terry Palacios, Democrat, Hidalgo County District Attorney

>> Juan Tijerina, Republican, Hidalgo County District Attorney

>> Arturo Guajardo, Democrat, Hidalgo County Clerk (incumbent)

>> Minerva Diaz, Republican, Hidalgo County Clerk
