Cameron County reported 12 additional COVID-19 related deaths and 511 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
The deaths include two women in their 60s and four men in their 30s, 70s, 80s and 90s from Brownsville, a woman in her 70s and two men in their 80s and 90s from Harlingen, a woman in her 60s from La Feria, and two men in their 60s and 80s from San Benito.
The deaths raise the county’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,275.
Of the 511 new COVID-19 cases, 244 are from Brownsville, 102 are from Harlingen, 69 are from San Benito, 31 are from La Feria and 27 are from Los Fresnos.
These new cases raise the county’s total to 34,259.
The county also reported that 101 people have recovered from the virus, raising that total to 27,856.
