Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino Jr. announced Friday afternoon that an additional seven county employees have tested positive for coronavirus.
The employees include the following:
1 – county clerk’s office
1 – district clerk’s office
2 – public health department
3 – sheriff’s department
“Although we are reporting a few employees with COVID-19 this week, we need to continue to do our part and remain and keep others safe. Thank you to all who have been compliant and understanding of our orders in place for protection of life, health and property,” said Trevino.
He said the public health department is working with elected officials and department heads to take the appropriate steps to keep their employees and the public safe.
