Law enforcement officers from more than a dozen agencies in Cameron County paid tribute to health care workers at area hospitals Wednesday morning.
With sirens blaring, officers visited Valley Regional Medical Center, Harlingen Medican Center, UT Health Rio Grande Valley, UTRGV School of Medicine, Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville and Harlingen.
Dozens of hospital staff watched the processions at each facility as officers honored the healthcare heroes for their tireless efforts combating the pandemic in Cameron County.
The procession included U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Brownsville Police, Cameron County Sheriff’s Department, Cameron County Constables, Texas Department of Public Safety, the Brownsville Fire Department and others.
