Registration for Brownsville’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic starts this morning

The City of Brownsville will host a first dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Friday.

The pre-registration online portal will be activated at 9:00 a.m. today.

Friday’s clinic will begin at 8 a.m. at the Texas Southmost College ITEC Center, at 301 Mexico Boulevard.

This vaccination clinic is aimed for individuals 18 years of age and above. Two thousand five hundred (2,500) Moderna first-dose vaccines will be made available by Cameron County Public Health.

Pre-registration is required online at btxcares.com. To pre-register, individuals must fill out the form which will be activated on Thursday, April 8th at 9:00 a.m. and will deactivate as soon as capacity is reached.

Individuals who do not have internet access may call the City of Brownsville COVID-19 Hotline at (956) 394-0012 for assistance with registration starting at 8:00 a.m.

No walk-ins will be allowed at the vaccination clinic. Individuals receiving a vaccine must have pre-registered and must have received a confirmation notice prior to the event with an appointment time.
