Affordable Homes of South Texas Inc. is offering a small grant to homeowners affected by this week’s weather conditions.
The nonprofit mortgage lender and builder launched their weather-related small emergency repair program for families who have damages to their home and need basic repairs or need to replace food lost due to the storm and power outage, the city of McAllen said in a news release Friday.
Homeowners can apply for a grant of up to $300, but funds are very limited.
The organization is working off of donations made by Texas Regional Bank, Army Navy CCU, BBVA, Frost Bank and the Kiwanis Club of McAllen, and it continues to seek for more donors.
