Street flooding and closures in Harlingen

The Harlingen Police Department says residents are reporting street flooding in the following areas of the city:

  • Loop 499
  • Fair Park Boulevard
  • 9th and Polk Streets
  • Expressway frontage (north and south)
  • Jefferson Street
  • Ed Carey Drive
  • Morgan Boulevard and Washington Street
  • Parkwood Subdivision
  • White Oak Drive West
  • Wilson Road
  • Stuart Place Road

TSTC

TSTC’s Harlingen campus is closed today due to flooding and inclement weather. The school will reopen Thursday June 21, for business as usual. We do encourage our students and employees to use their best judgement when driving to campus if inclement weather should continue and to contact their supervisors and instructors if need be.

UTRGV

Due to inclement weather, all UTRGV classes will be delayed today until 1PM. Scheduled classes prior to this time are cancelled. All offices will be open for normal business hours today, however, employees should use their best judgment deciding whether they can make it to our campuses safely.

LOAVES & FISHES

Loaves & Fishes office is closed. The dining hall is open for anyone needing to escape the rain. There is no food service today. The will be no food service in Raymondville today.

HARLINGEN CISD

All summer classes and camps are cancelled today due to inclement weather. Students and staff with these programs are not to report. Classes will resume Thursday.

SAN BENITO CISD

Due to inclement weather, all summer school and Afterschool Program activities at San Benito CISD are cancelled for today.

VALLEY TECHNICAL ACADEMY

HIDALGO COUNTY COURTHOUSE

The Hidalgo County Courthouse in Edinburg and Precinct 1 administrative offices in Weslaco are closed at least until 12 p.m. today.
