McALLEN – Border patrol agents discovered 70 migrants in a North McAllen home on the 2000 block of Baylor Street on Monday morning.

Schools in the area were put on a precautionary lockdown shortly before 11 a.m. after agents arrived at the home. A few people fled the scene as law enforcement arrived. The lockdown was lifted by early afternoon and school officials said in a text to parents that the suspects had been caught.

Monday’s discovery comes after Border Patrol agents disrupted a stash house in Penitas Saturday where 37 migrants were being held, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.
