UTRGV benefit: Bishop’s Valley Golf Classic set for April 28

RANCHO VIEJO — Grab your clubs and get ready for The Bishop’s Valley Golf Classic on Saturday, April 28.

This fun-filled event will benefit the Vital University Missions program of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas in the Rio Grande Valley.

Vital UM serves college students attending UTRGV by helping them make life-giving connections with Christ, their campus, city and the church.

“I am excited that our Valley Advisory Board is hosting our second annual Bishop’s Valley Golf Classic. I encourage anyone who enjoys the game, college students, developing leaders or even the idea of golf to join us on April 28th at Rancho Viejo Country Club,” said Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, Rt. Rev. David Reed.

“It will be a great day raising money for Vital University Missions and their on-going work in the Valley.”

This year, all proceeds raised go to support the Vital UM programs and events in the Rio Grande Valley.

Teams have the opportunity to participate and the chance to win great prizes.

“There are more than 120,000 college students in the Rio Grande Valley and we are excited to continue to find creative and exciting ways to serve them,” Reed said.

The event will be held at Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club located at 1 Rancho Viejo Dr. in Rancho Viejo.

It will include an 18-hole scramble, putting contest, incredible door prizes and an awards reception. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and shotgun start is at 12:00 p.m.

Goodie bag donations are still being accepted and will serve as a great way to advertise your business.
