Agencies to offer training to veterans, spouses

UTRGV VBOC partners with SBA, WBC Cameron County, to offer training for veterans, reservists, National Guard, spouses

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Veterans Business Outreach Center, in conjunction with the local Small Business Administration Office and the Women’s Business Center of Cameron County, will cohost and present “Boots to Business Reboot: Entrepreneurship Training,” March 16 in Brownsville.

Boots to Business Reboot is a two-step training program that provides veterans, reservists, National Guard and their spouses an overview of the fundamentals of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge about the components of a business plan, practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources.

Step One is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship Boots to Business Reboot, followed by an optional Step Two, which consists of a variety of online follow-on courses instructed by a consortium of professors and skilled business advisors from the SBA Network.

Please email the team at [email protected] if you have already attended an in-person Boots to Business Reboot class, and wish to sign-up for an online course.

This Entrepreneurship Training open to veterans of all eras, and their spouses, at no cost.
