If you’re traveling north of the Valley this week be prepared for some highway construction to delay your drive in Willacy County.
The Texas Department of Transportation says road construction will be taking place all week along Interstate 69E from Business 77 to near the Willacy/Kenedy County line.
Crews with Foremost Paving are installing reinforced concrete pipe to improve drainage so the northbound and south-bound lanes of traffic will be reduced to one lane.
TxDOT says the project will continue through Friday and run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
