A traffic stop in Willacy County leads to the seizure of more than $300,000 in cash and the arrest of two Valley men.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says a trooper stopped the driver of a white Ford F-250 on Interstate 69 East north of Conley Road on Wednesday morning for a traffic violation.
During a search of the pickup the trooper discovered bundles of cash totaling $340,850 hidden in the truck.
DPS says the driver Jaime Limon-Cervantes, 62, of Elsa and the passenger Jose Guadalupe Lopez, 49, of Mercedes were arrested an charged with money laundering.
